In order for you to join APEB, renew your membership, access certain parts of the website, receive our newsletters or information, or register for our meetings, APEB may ask you to provide personal information.
This information may include contact details such as your name, postal address, email address (personal or professional), telephone number, and job title.
Furthermore, APEB members may voluntarily complete the directory made available to them. Responsibility for the content is left to the discretion of the members who fill it in under their sole responsibility. APEB makes no commitment as to the accuracy of the information contained in its directory and accepts no liability for any omissions or errors.
The personal data collected is processed for the purposes defined above. Such personal data is not transferred to third parties except, where applicable, to another professional association in the context of organising joint meetings or events, to the service provider responsible for organising such events, or to the bank in the event of membership and online payment by the member concerned.
The legal basis for such processing lies in APEB’s legitimate interest in communicating with its members about its activities and meetings, organising these, and informing its members of Association news and more generally of developments in the field of patent law and/or intellectual property.
This personal data is retained for the entire period during which the person concerned is a member of APEB.
During this personal data retention period, you have the right to request that APEB provide access to, rectify, erase, object to or restrict the processing of such data, and to receive said personal data in a structured format in order to transmit it to another data controller (data portability), in accordance with the conditions set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (No. 2016/679) and Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties.
